About

Fitness Training

I am a fitness trainer and coach who specializes in Parkinson's Disease and Stroke Recover Fitness as well as having a long history and record of certification in boxing and martial arts conditioning, Qi Gong,  Body Pyramid, and overall wellness. I believe true fitness is finding holistic balance for our physical, mental, and spiritual being. Every one is different, and there is no “one size fits all” in training. Therefore, my one on one training sessions are adapted to a person’s different needs and goals. Aspects of my training include exercises to improve speed, agility, balance, coordination, flexibility, focus, motivation, etc., and are designed for people of all ages and physical backgrounds. I also integrate physical education and self-maintenance for healthy living (proper nutrition, sleeping habits, Feng Sui, etc.)  in my training approach.

As a fitness trainer with over 30 years of experience, I hold many certifications (Parkinson's Disease and Stroke Recovery Fitness Specialist, Martial Arts Conditioning, Boxing training, Rock Steady Boxing against Parkinson's Disease, Body Pyramid, CPR and First Aid). I also have a background in teaching, working at DeVry University and within the Maricopa Community College system for years. My training as an anthropologist has helped me become a better rounded professional in terms of inter-personal skills, cultural awareness, and overall understanding of the human mind and body. The video below is one I did in conjunction with SCC about my training methods and philosophy. I have also been featured in local news stories August 2016 News Channel 10 and March 2017 News Channel 12 regarding the work I did with the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center.
